At the last World Cup qualifier of the 2022/2023 Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Western European League in Gothenburg, Sweden, our very own Ethene and rider Lars Bak Andersen had a 3rd place finish.

The Swedish course designer, Peter Lundstrom, created a very challenging first round with only four horse and rider combinations making it to the jump off. Ethene proved her capabilities by having a clean first round and clocking in at 42.55 seconds in the jump off.

Bak Andersen  said of Ethene, “We had great courses throughout the week, not just today, and a lot of them have been very technical. But after this show I see a big future for Ethene who I have had for more than two years. She gave me such a good feeling during the week. Normally I compete her in the Saturday classes at a show but now I see she is ready for the big Sunday competitions like the World Cup and it’s very exciting!”

Ethene was purchased by Hyperion Stud from her American breeder Reece Miller in 2020 and has been proving herself as a top competitor as she has been moving up to compete at the highest levels with Bak Andersen. We very much look forward to their continued success.
