Are you looking for your next top show jumper or a promising prospect? Hyperion Stud is dedicated to breeding, raising and training top show jumpers worldwide. Hyperion Stud is a global operation with farms in Virginia and Wellington, Florida with breeding and training operations in Holstein, Germany and Holland. Our experience breeding and developing top horses for sport, coupled with our close connection to European breeding and performance gives us the pulse on breeding trends for world-class horses. Since we are also based in the US, we have a unique understanding of the American market and what the riders are seeking.
We have a huge variety of horses available for sale, from young jumpers, horses competing at 1.40 + meter level, approved and licensed stallions, breeding stock, promising foals and young prospects. Most of the horses we offer come from our breeding program, so we know everything about their history and development. We have sale horses available in the US, Germany and Holland.
Hyperion stands a roster of nearly thirty accomplished stallions, including Imothep, Dakota VDL, and Chin Quidam VDL as well as popular hunter stallions like Popeye K. The success of Hyperion horses is no mistake. We choose the best bloodlines, but take it a step further by selecting the best individuals for our program.

For example, our foundation stallion Imothep (Indoctro/Calvados) has a long career of international Grand Prix success with too many shows to list, but highlights include the 2016 Olympics in Rio, World Equestrian Games in Normandy (12th out of 153 horses) and multiple Nations Cups. Imothep sires beautiful, good-tempered offspring with his natural balance, generous scope and powerful gaits.

Our newly approved stallion Can’t Touch This (Casall/Canturo/Acorado/Ramiro from stamm 776) was discovered and purchased as a foal by Hyperion. He is now four and is approved by the Oldenburg and Mecklenburg Verbands in Germany.

Hyperion-bred youngsters are rising to the top. The stallion, Carrasca Z purchased by AliBoo Farm, qualified for and competed in the Young Horse Championships in Lanaken, Belgium as a five year old and as a seven year old. Stallion Lucien HS, now sadly deceased, was approved for breeding with the American Holsteiner Horse Association in 2016 and was champion stallion for the entire country. Our mare Iceland HS (Canturo/Accord II/Corrado I from stamm 776) was just selected for the Elite Mare Show in Germany. Her Mare Performance Test scores included a 9 for free jumping and an 8.5 for rideability.

We believe competition success is the best testimonial, so we put our breeding program to the test. Our riding horses get their experience at the big shows on the East Coast, in Wellington and throughout Europe, where standards are high. We work with top professionals and young horse specialists to ensure the horses are started with the best possible foundation. Alex Liebe develops our up-and-coming young horses in Germany. Olympian Taizo Sugitani campaigns our horses at CSI competitions throughout Europe. In the US, Muiris Hinchion starts our three and four year olds.
