Val’s Sire, Ahorn, is descended from the famous Holstein family 242. His mother produced 4 approved stallions. Ahorn competed at the top international level, consistently placing in World Cups, Nations Cups and Grand Prix competitions. He was also short listed for the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games with rider Roelof Bril.Ahorn is a powerful producer of keur mares, stallions and sport horses including many European and Dutch Champions. He was recognized by the KWPN for his outstanding contribution in breeding by being awarded the preferent status.
Val de Loir-Imoo’s maternal Grand sire, Jus de Pomme, was an international sensation. Although he died at the young age of 10, Jus de Pomme laid his place in history by winning the individual and team gold medals at the Atlanta Olympics in 1996. Jus de Pomme produced many approved sons and upper level sport horses. His Dam, Opaline des Pains, is one of the best breeding mares in history who produced seven Olympic Champions! She produced approved stallions, Jus de Pomme, Richebourg, Shogun, Quintus and Tresor D’Opaline.
