Taizo Sugitani is a 6 time Olympian, competed at 6 World Championships and 2 World Cup Finals for Team Japan. We are honored to be working with Taizo and look forward to a long lasting and successful relationship.
Andrew Williams - Farm Manager
Andrew Williams
Andy has been working the land and livestock for over a decade and loves learning new things. He appreciates the beauty and strength seen in horses and moved his family from the heart of GA to VA to pursue the opportunity to work around the magnificent creatures at Hyperion Stud. Formerly an organic vegetable CSA farmer and then a Charolais Cattle Ranch manager, Andy came to Hyperion Stud with a plethora of land and animal stewardship experience. When Andy’s not at Hyperion Stud then you can find him hiking the hills or wading the rivers of the beautiful mountains with his family or tending the garden or the bee hives behind the house while appreciating the horses as they run the pastures in front.
Laura Krohn- Breeding Specialist
Laura D Krohn graduated from Virginia Tech with Bachelors in Animal & Poultry Science in 2009. She has been riding & working with horses since they age of 8. It was at Va Tech that she began her focus in Equine breeding. “I especially enjoy mare & foal management and watching our youngsters grow up and develop into competition horses.” She came to Hyperion Stud in June 2010 and has been an integral part in the growth of the breeding program.
Aubrie Shaner - Office Manager / Public Relations
Aubrie Shaner Morris has been with Hyperion since before inception. Her tenure dates back to 2008 when Hyperion was a glimmer of the near future. She has been a constitutive part in Hyperion’s foundation. Savannah, GA is home and her background is in Real Estate Appraisal and Interior Design. “I am proud to share in the success and future of Hyperion and what we bring to the American market. We are honored with the ability to influence all aspects of the industry from breeding and stallion management, through young horse development and to top ranks in the ring. Our horses speak for themselves. ” In her spare time she enjoys filling her pilot log, dancing, and spending quality time with her daughter Natalie

Kelsey Hile - Equine Care Specialist
Kelsey Hile is originally from south central Pennsylvania and is a 2013 graduate of Penn State where she earned her Animal Sciences degree with an Equine minor. She started riding at the age of eight and acquired her first horse at thirteen. From there she competed in low level dressage. At seventeen she was privileged to own and show a Dutch Warmblood gelding whom she competed up through third level dressage, while venturing into low level eventing with her first horse. Throughout college Kelsey found that her passion was in the breeding aspect and during the summer of 2012 she took an internship at a Cleveland Bay farm in St. Thomas, Pennsylvania. In her spare time, Kelsey enjoys riding her motorcycle, spending time with her mare, Ginger, her two ferrets Roxi and Rylie, and learning about automotive mechanics.
